It happened, it snuck up on me, and I didn't even notice! I have become my MOTHER! Not that it's such a bad thing, she did a fantastic job raising my sibling and I on her own; but I thought I had a good few years before the enevitable happened. :P

I was driving my preteen son to school, and the worst thing in the world happened; I had the absolute cheek to know the name of the group on the radio. Not only that, but I also knew the SONG ! SHOCK, GASP, HORROR! He was mortified, and I thought for a moment I had sprouted another head; from the look of sheer terror on his face. Of course, it's just not kewl to like the same music as your parent. I think the situation was made worse, as his friend was also in the car with us! LOL

I remember the feeling all too well, to realise your parent is also a person; with their own likes, dislikes and life! ;) It seems to happen too quickly these days though, I was at least fifteen before I came to that traumatic realisation; not a preteen. I guess it's just another sign I'm getting older d@mnit!! LOL
